"After the Blender Institute released Big Buck to show what the Blender software was capable of, they followed it up with the 3-D "Yo Frankie" game that they produced using Crystal Space and the Blender Game Engine. The core team had met in Amsterdam and spent the next half year developing the platform-independent game, financed through advance orders. Other sponsors beside Blender Institute and the Crystal Space Team were also involved in the Amsterdam game-making."
